A large series completed across a diverse range of media, Kanso’s Dance of Salomé draws its inspiration from numerous literary and biblical sources, including the New Testament story of John the Baptist, Oscar Wilde’s 1891 play, and Richard Strauss’s 1905 opera. The primary subject of the works is Salomé.
